  1. I recently got a Memorex True-8x DVD Burner and 25 DVD-Rs. The burner came bundled with Nero (6 i believe).

This is how we made the movie: download the movie to WMM2, edit it there (about an hour long), conv it to MPEG-2 using TMPTgenc or whatever..., made several other short things using moviemaker2 and made them mpg2's. Then we compiled it all together in NVision express2 and made a menu system, customized it, and set it to start at the menu up playback. Burning was successful (took 2 hours to transcode 2.8gigs).

We took the DVD-R to our Samsung HT-DB600 home theatre system and that is where our problem started. It just said 'loading' or sometimes 'menu' and didn't ever play, although it did play perfectly fine on the Computer's DVD-burner drive in both Neroshowtime and WMP9. We then tried several other factors by turning the speed of burning down to 2x, using all original content instead of conv. 2 mpeg2, setting it to start at the menu upon playback... nothing worked. Everything still worked on the computer though. (I did try playing it back on another home theatre system somewhere else and had the same results)

The question i have is...could the playback problem be because of how I am using the Nero program, or how the discs are 4x Memorex's, or the content I used? This is the first DVD that i have ever burned and it is a big project to take on so please, if you know anything about this subject, reply and give me some ideas.

    Thank you.

If you look in the players section at the left it shows that that Samsung model does +R not -R
