DVD Backup Issues

I have been trying to backup a couple of DVD's to DVD-R and have a couple of problems....

i) Using Smartripper to rip the original DVD to my HDD and than Nero to burn, it burns with the three vob files as the chapters. This is okay, but I get about a sec pause when the chapter changes. Any ideas what I am doing wrong.

ii) When I burn to Imation DVD-R Media (which only seems to burn at 1x when I thought it was 4x), the video starts to pixellate and then freeze after about 13mins. I have had this same issue before on other burns (after about the same time) using this media. Burning to Verbatim or Pioneer DVD-RW has no issues. Do I have a duff batch of Imation material or is it generally crap ?

Try using DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink to convert to your HD...

As to item 2, I would switch to different media, seems your player has some trouble reading it.
