  1. I found it a little upsetting that dvd players wouldn't read v(cd) videos burnt onto a dvd...so I'm just wondering if with the new kiss players that boast divx...if you could burn the divx movies onto dvd's.? Thanx.

NO ! You can burn the Divx-files as data on a DVD and play them on a Kiss dvdplayer without authoring them.

read his post more carefully, he DOES NOT have a kiss player yet, and if he did, then he WOULD NOT have to encode anything.

Therefore, I dont think the dvd player he currently has, can play video as data disks.

  5. I'm currently just using a standard samsung dvd player. I just bought a dvd players and assumed that I could burned vcd's onto a dvd for playback on my dvd player...but I found out that vcd arn't compatible for playback without being converted to DVD format. I was then looking at the kiss dvd player because it is said that it can playback divx format....but what i'm worried about is that (May) only playback divx on CD-R's only and not DVD-R like vcd's. But if you say that it can playback divx on a data disk...then I'm assuming that it will play divx on dvd-r and cd-r in data format.
