Take a look to the left under media. Generally speaking if you don't want to take any changes get either Ritek or TDK media. They cost a bit more (a few cents per disc) but are tock solid. There are a ton of online stores to buy from (again see the media section). Personally I've use http://www.allmediaoutlet.com a lot w/o any problems.

They aren't top grade media at all.
I would suggest Maxell, TYs, or Japanese made TDKs. -
Take Vejita-sama's advice and use RITEK & TDK dvd media. I have a Plextor 708A and I use RITEK G04 discs. I burned over 100 discs and not one coaster with the RITEK from pcclub. www.pcclub.com has RITEK G04 that is listed as GENERIC DVD-R, they are known as "ORANGE TOP RITEK's, $19.99 for 25 discs. Other dvd media I would recommend is (RICOH) IMATION DVD+R 4x speed that burns @ 8x and Verbatim DVD-R. I purchase Maxell when they're on sale at the local wally worlds and office depot. I purchase TDK DVD-R spindles from Costco warehouse. Rule of thumb is use media that will work on your dvd burner and standalone dvd players. What may work for others doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you. Many variables in authoring and burning dvds.
