    Is there a program to test out the dvd files (vob, ifo) for errors in the way they were authored? Or test already burned dvds for authoring errors and crc errors?

    Burn to RW and play in at least couple of standalone players (or PS2 or XBOX which are even more picky but sometimes they don't like RWs) from start to finish is the only valid test that has worked for me.
    Don't use a PC for testing. With the right software/codec they'll play anything even if it's not 100% DVD compliant.
