I'm not exactly sure where I should post this because it has me thourghly confused.

I want to make an MPEG-2 file out of a show I've recorded off of a TV, that's the easy part. The problem is getting it to remain in the original "Size" of a TV Recording.

For instance I'll record a show off of the TV, I'll clip out the commercials and I'll use TMPGEnc+ to make an MPEG-2, now I hit a problem.

I go to playback my MPEG-2 via S-Video out and the screen is no longer in the original aspect ratio despite clicking "Keep Aspect Ratio" in TMPGEnc. I'll notice the watermark from the TV Station is "Stretched" to the point where it touches the "edge" of the screen and I don't know how to fix this.

I'm recording in NTSC with a 720x480 resolution in a 4:3 Ratio. I can not for the LIFE OF ME, figure out how to make the MPEG-2 I've just spent hours rendering to come out like the show taken from my TV.

Is there another set of settings I have to use? How come if I burn a show onto, say a Panny DMR-HS2 and play it back the Screen is the same size a it was originaly, but when I edit the show and play it abck I seem to be missing part of the picture?

I don't kow if thisis overscan or not, but I thought overscan was supposed to be pretty much unnoticable, this is HIGHLY noticable.

Any hep is appreciated;
