ive just got the hang of tmpgenc and am happy with the results of my movies (ive even redone some i did with other software) however.....when i do a dvd with anime (manga) on them, they come out blocky here and there, is there special settings for animation movies, and cg films

Possible things:
1) too low of a bitrate?
2) change your Motion Search Precision? (try High instead of Motion Estimate)
3) what's your DC component precision set to?
4) what's the quality of your source material like?
