vcd playing b/w on dvd player ??

hi.. i have been burning vcd's for about 6 months or so.. i have just started to burn them so they'll play on a standalone dvd player. anyway, i burned it and it will play.. but it's black and white.. does anybody know why it's like that? and how can i fix it? thankx alot

if i had to guess i would try switching on your DVD player from MULTI to NTSC. this cleared it up for me....
