DVD Write Speed w/ Nero 5.5

Hi.
I am buring some DVDs with NEC 2500, Ritak 4x DVD-R and Nero 5.5.

Nero says the disc is writing at x4.1 , it takes about 28mins to do a full disc.

does that seem right? i have read other posting, claiming to burn x4 in 8-12 mins. Am I missing out on something?

also, i saw some posting saying Ritak is 2.0 and can burn at x6. however Nero is not giving me any speed choice other than x2 or x4.

Might be a dodgy disk - Nero should always report write speeds od 1x, 2x, 2.4x, 4x or 8x depending on the media. Anything else is suspect.
