  1. Which one is better or produces better quality mpeg when converting from .dat or bin files, VCDEasy or VCDGear?

Which one is more stable ---> produces less error during conversion and less likely to produce a corrupt or bad mpeg file from dat or bin?

IIRC they use the same library to perform this task, so there shouldn't be any differences. It's not a "conversion" as such, just some header info that has to be removed.

VCDgear has always worked for me.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I found that VCDEasy works better than VCDgear on SVCD files.
