First what's the difference?
Second I've an ATI Graphics Card with Vivo and trying to connect to the VCR. Do I have to link the S Video and Composite.
Many thanks

S-video will give you a sharper picture over composite. You can only use one or the other. I'd sure like to have a vcr with S-video output.

Thanks so if I just use the S Video lead I will get sound as well, I don't need any other connections?

You also need to use the red and white RCA connectors for audio.

Cartman is right. The picture will be better. The reason is, S-Video has 4 pins. One for luminance (B&W), one for chromanance (color) and two grounds. Composite only has 2, one for video (center conductor) and one ground (shield).
