I've got a problem with my DVD Writer producing DVDs that go blank on a standalone player after around 5 minutes, original post here.

After experimenting I've found out it's my system as the DVD burner works fine on another PC & the DVD plays properly in the standalone.

The only difference between the two is that on my problem system the DVD Writer is set to Master & on the ok system the DVD is set to slave.

Does anyone (please oh please) have any idea what could be wrong here? The problem system is running XP with a XP3200 CPU, 1 gig RAM, 200 gig hdd etc. The other system that burns fine is lower spec???
