    Doesn't matter to me, actually, because I won't be replacing my DVR-106D until dual-layer burners move far enough past the "bleeding edge" stage that it's feasible to buy one. Until then, I'm quite satisfied with 2.4X +RW and 4X -R media, as I can certainly find other things to do with my time for the 15-20 minutes it takes to burn a full DVD.

    Of course, this news will inevitably lead the zealots on both sides of the fence to whip out their Johnsons for yet another round of "mine is bigger than yours"...
