  1. I use DVDShrink to rip the movie's main title, and never had a problem with the subtitle before. However, on this particular Korean movie (Guns & Talks), the subtitle can only be viewed on PC, and not on TV. I tried on both Mintek and AMW. To make it more interesting, both players do recognize the english subtitle stream, but not displaying it on tv. Can this problem be fixed? Thanks very much in advance.

Did you try to use the remote?

  3. Yes, I did use the remote to turn off then turn on subtitle again. The dvd player also confirms that the subtitle stream is English. This is mind bogling for me. Please help. Thanks Tommyknocker

problem is worse if PAL source dvd ..

on your pc -- are the subtitles real low on the screen ?

Luckily, this is NTSC source dvd. The subtitle is not real low on the pc, it has a good margin of real estate below it. If all else fail, I guess this is one of those rare DVD that DVDShrinked 3.1 can't encode the subtitle correctly. Thanks BJ_M
