2.0 Beta 8 - Released 05 Jan 2005

Changes:

- Fixed a PAL->NTSC bug when AC3 audio is selected in the settings.
- Added PAL->NTSC conversion for AVI (Xvid/DivX) sources.
- Added PAL->NTSC conversion for VCD sources.
- Added AVI to DVD encoding using SVCD resolution (smaller files)
- Added an enhanced AVI to DVD-SVCD option for Widescreen TVs.
- Several other bug fixes.

Suggestion:

Can you automate on whether a file needs 44.1 -> 48 khz conversion? It seems like you should be able to automate this by determining whether the file is already 48k or not.

If the source is 48Khz then no audio conversion takes place. The file still needs Nav Packs however...

when converting AVI files does the sound still always output as AC3, or can you choose between AC3 and MP" Now?

when I download the registered users beta 2 am I getting the latest beta release? or do I have to download the demo version for the latest beta?

Registered users beta 2 is always the latest. Currently it is BETA 8.

I am a registered user and am also eagerly awaiting the pan and scan feature in the beta as my main player is a five disc Pioneer. Any news as to when this feature will be activated.

Just installed Beta 8 but when i click on the football icon up pops the registration machine with all the info in the User Data,Name & Registration code no problems but when i click on register the box dissaperes and thats it ?.
Not had any problems in the past with registering.

I have it working in the build which is in progress. Thus it will be in the next release which may well be RC1....

Can it convert ntfs to pal?

I know it does pal to ntfs but can it do it the other way?

It could but doesn't at the moment. 100% of people wishing a TV standard conversion have wanted pall to ntsc.
