I have a Verbatim DVD+RW/R drive (shows up as NEC 1000A) and last night I went to make a data disc using Nero Express. I have the error log and it's quite big, so forgive me for it's length as I do not know what would clue me in to correct the problem. Before I do that, tho, I had tried to create a regular DVD using Sonic MyDVD after the the Nero failure. Everything was going ok, but when it got to writing the disc, it gave me this error message - Could not complete the last command because: Device error - Sense Code (3 73 03) - Power Callibration Error - Sequential Write (DVDErr, 226051).
Here is the log from the Nero session:

Best thing to do is search the forum for the message you got & there should be several hundred messages you could look at.

Actually, I did search the forums before doing a post. I thought that with the addtional information from the Sonic MyDVD session, there might be a differetn answer.

Nope, a power calibration error always means the same thing. That error comes from your recorder, not the software.
