Hi,
Can anyone help?
I have downloaded a film to my harddisk which would fit on to 4 cds,
converted them to meg1 so I can play them on my computer and Tele. via
Real Magic.
My problem now is, how can I join them together to form a continus
movie?
Any ideas.

Not everyone is pirating copyrighted material.
One way to do this would be to join them using TMPGENC. There are a few joiners in the tools section that can also do this. From my understanding with certain players (I think WMA is one) is if you load all of them up, they should play continuosly without an pauses or anything. -
Zworg2 . The guy has not broken any rules . There is no evidence of warez . If you have a problem you should report it through the proper channels .
When did zworg2 join - OhJoined: 08 Feb 2004 -
I was going to ask zworg2 if he had permission to use that clockwork orange likness for his avatar. It may me copy wright violation, but why add fuel to the fire?
no harm intended.. please
btw before you ask Mic say it was okBig Government is Big Business.. just without a product and at twice the price... after all if the opposite of pro is con then wouldn’t the opposite of progress be congress? -
Be realistic, though. How many people asking these questions are downloading 100% uncopyrighted material? Just because he didn't write "I just downloaded Hellboy, and I need help burning it" doesn't mean you can't make a little leap of faith.
And why does it matter when a person joined or how big of a post count they have?
BobV, I give you permission to use spell check -

The moderators have discussed the point of "does a download" mean piracy and time and time again the result has been no.

The poster visited this forum asking a question. He has done NOTHING wrong, but ask how he can join a film that he has downloaded. Some questions if you want to look at his post:
download = what does that mean. Download from the internet. download from HIS server, download from a CD, download from a DVD??????
the issue here is that not everyone comes here to pirate videos. True, some do. Do you lump in everyone into a certain category. Another point Andyp made a leap of faith when he made reference to the one posters time on the board and post count. His leap of faith "could be" that this person is on a power trip telling everyone what is and is not against the forum rules. Certainly possible that the poster just recently joined after visiting the forum for the last 2 years.
My leap of faith for you is that you must be guilty of downloading illegal material because you were essentially saying that a lot of people download copyrighted material. Is my "leap" correct (rhetorical)? I hope not. Based on the fact that I think you are guilty, mean that I do it (again, rhetorical)????
All I am trying to say is that when a person makes a post, dont naturally assume that they are trying to do something illegal. If they officially violate the forum rules (not what we all assume to be the forum rules), then report them through the correct process, which is in the forum rules (and if it isnt, should be). The moderators are very good at responding and will take the necessary action. -
Oh come on now. 4 cd's and recently downloaded can only be one thing, for those that know where to look. He is 100% pirating, but he didn't commit the offense of nameing the Movie (LOTR3 maybe?).
It's a fine thread to walk on this site. Heck donating to paypal for this site can get you a felony charge in the US (Case law, a group at IBM sent old used harddrives to a similiar site, and got prosecuted or aiding an abetting).
My point is: Currently on movies in theaters and not released tape/optical/PPV are considered piracy/warez per the moderators. With the passage of the Europeon DMCA, this site is doomed unless the rules get very explicit. To Be, Or, Not To Be, That, Is The Gazorgan Plan -
why would assume that the only thing it could be is a pirated movie?
Let say for a moment that it is. It is possible that where he is posting from it is perfectly legal to do so (unfortunately, he did not fill out his profile so we dont know).
2 points to make:
1)dont assume that everyone is doing something illegal
2) if you feel that a poster is, report it to the moderators through the "report this post" link -
To make the assumption that I have been frequenting this forum only since i became a registered user is just that, an assumption / guess / conjecture / supposition and is in fact based on nothing, no proof no evidence nothing, and therefore i could take offence as it comes across as a little arrogant.
(however if i took offence at such things i could open up a hardware store with all the fences...)
Whether I have been a registered member of this forum for five minutes or five years is irrelevant.I wish to stick to the rules nd we all (well most of us) know what the rules say about Warez.
Whilst I openily admit that i also made an assumption, mine was at least based on some evidence.;

It is a fine line to walk, what is and what is not warez, that is why we have moderators and administrators. They make the rules. They ensure other people stick to the rules. And before you jump on me, i have no wish to be one but was merely pointing out to the OP that he was probably in contravention.
If you care to actually check my previous posts you will see that i often warn people but also help them with their query.
