first thanks for all the posts with regards to the pioneer 106d.

having tried nearly all of the fixes on the forum i am still having serious problems....... every time i try to burn a disc music or dvd my burner starts ok but only burns 2% with roxio 6 (all updates) or 5% with nero 6, please please help me getting so fed up with coasters

Do you have DMA enabled for the drive? After I updated my firmware the DMA was turned off and every time I tried to burn a disk the process would stop early on. Once I turned DMA back on everything worked out fine.

try another programme like copy2dvd,rather than those 2 POS.
roxio is the worst.
and itll probably be interfering with nero.
try uninstalling them and only installing nero,or try another programme.

thanks for the quick reply .... dma is on according to hardware manager but still no joy, nt sure how to change in bios though, in hardware manager ide driver is 2.1.2600.0 windows xp and writer is 5.1.2535.0 windows publisher is this ok????????? thanks again for your help
