  1. Could someone help me with this...
I have a ripped dvd with wrong aspect ratio, all stretched in length very horrible....which id like to fix. My individual vob files are fine, as i watch them on windvd.
Is there a way to fix it, without much reincoding?
And btw. i have a subtitle wich id like to keep.

    Tnx in advance.

  2. sounds more like an errorr in the ifo file, use ifoedit and check to see if it list your title set in the correct ratio. If not have it fix it and that should solve your problem

Sounds like a ripping error. The AR in the .IFO overrides the AR in the MPEG header.

What AR are you seeing (there are only two supported by the DVD spec)?

  4. hmm sounds like he might have a 4:3 film set as a 16x9 (letterboxed). This would cause that. If it is the ifo file it only takes you 30 seconds to fix, But it sounds like he might be new to this and then the fun of going through and explaining ifoedit (although for what he needs its pretty easy)

as it turned out it had 4:3 specified for my 16:9 movie.
    30 seconds did the job.
