  1. This is driving me crazy! I have a movie that is split into two parts. Both parts are encoded in XviD at 23.976 fps and the audio is AC3. I demuxed the audio using Virtualdubmod and converted the video with TMPGEnc. The 2nd half of the movie converted fine with no a/v sync problems. The 1st half however is out of sync when I use the same setting.

The strange thing is when I play the AVI in Windows Media Player the a/v sync is fine. When I play it in Virtualdubmod the a/v is out of sync just like my converted files. If I press the stop button during play in Virtualdubmod and then resume the movie, it becomes in sync again. What the @#$! is going on?

  2. Is the audio out of sync by the same amount all the way through? or does it start off in sync, and then gradually gets worse as the video progresses?

  3. Check the xvid for bad frames.
