I'm writting a tutorial on how to create a custom Template in DVDSP2. My question to all of y'all is are there any aspects I should focus on?

While I'm at it should I also explain how to use DVDSP2 or just stick with the template making?

    Yep. Definitely.
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

    Ight, I shall then.

I just finished the first draft of the tutorial, complete with examples and images. I'll see if I can get it up tonight.

also, please focus on the following:

Creating Drop Zones using PS, specifically what can and we cannot do

Creating Chapter/Index Menus and how to get them to auto link to a Chater list in a Movie ( still can't get mine to work, darn it)
and thus "fill in the buttons" like in the DVDSP2 Bike Tutorial

A word or two about asset encoding, ie. what's best for
getting 1 two hour movie, 2 two hour movies, or 3 three hour movies on to a DVDSP2 project.

that's all off the top of my head.
    Looking forward to the template!

I got this one, complete with many, many pictures. I"m going to seperate the tutorial by topic to keep it in managable pieces.

  8. I have a question aout the DVDSP template format. i assume it is a sort of stylesheet for creating projects in Studio Pro. Can DVDStudio Pro templates be exported in the Therme format that is used by iDVD?

If not, what software are the purveyors of iDVD themes creating them with. I know I can create my own "Favorites" in iDVD and save them for reuse, but I'm limited to the buttons iDVD provides, and I don't think drop zones are an option.

I have no idea how iDVD templates are created. I've never used iDVD and can't saw how the templates are used or even look, but I'll try to start looking into it.
