SVCD2DVD freezes during multipexing

I've had SVCD2DVD for a while now and have made a bunch of working SVCD DVDs. But seemingly out of the blue SVCD2DVD has stopped working. Now everytime it gets to the multipexing stage it just hangs there and never does anything. When I use Mplex the cpu meter disapears when it gets to the multipexing stage and when I use MplexWin32 the cpu meter stayes at 100% but the program stops working. I've tried all of the different combinations of options in the options screen. I've even tried re-installing the program and that didnt help. Now I've wasted my second registration key and SVCD2DVD still doesnt work. Below is the log file that SVCD2DVD gives me when I have MplexWin32 selected. Thanks for any help.

You have a cygwin version confilict.

Have you install any software which uses this: cygwin1.dll?

I have no idea. What kind of programs use cygwin1.dll? I have installed Sony Acid 4.0 and Sound Forge 7.0 and Fruity Loops studio 4. They are all sound programs, I don't know if they would use cygwin1.dll but I have installed all of them since the last time I tried useing SVCD2DVD. How would I go about fixing a problem like this?

Well first search your PC for cygwin1.dll and let me know the results.

I searched my whole computer for cygwin1.dll and I got three results. The first result was in C:\dvd-easy2svcd\svcd2dvd which is where I installed SVCD2DVD. The second one was in C:\cable shit\nopdocsis\nopdsis.zip and the second one is in C:\IRC\Download\nopdsis.zip. These last two files are inside of zip files. Before I first posted anything in this forum I tried doing a search for cygwin1.dll and found 4 more files then the 3 I just listed. I tried renaming them to cygwin1_old.dll but SVCD2DVD still did not work. The other four files that are currently renamed to cygwin1_old.dll are in
C:\cable shit\docsis
C:\cable shit\nopdocsis
C:\IRC\Download\Data
C:\Invision2\Download\root tools\files
The weird thing is that I have had everything in the C:\cable shit folder before I even installed SVCD2DVD and it worked fine before. I dont know why its not working now. I hope this helps.

ok can you deduce the versions and put the latest in the SVCD2DVD folder?

Yes, the latest version of cygwin1.dll is alreay in the SVCD2DVD folder. It is version 1005.3.0.0 and is 945KB in size. The files that I renamed to cygwin1_old.dll are version 1003.9.0.0 and 1003.12.0.0. Do I need a new version of this file for SVCD2DVD to work?

ok this is a suggestion:

can you download & do a mininal install of cygwin from www.cygwin.com? This should restore any registry settings & get the latest version of the dll which svcd2dvd will then use.

It worked! I installed the new version of cygwin and SVCD2DVD is working just as great as it did before. Thanks a lot for all your help. Now my only problem is that before I posted anything in this forum I tried re-installing SVCD2DVD thinking it would help. I didnt relize I used my second and last license while I was re-installing it. I know I am going to upgrade my computer in a month or two. I was wondering if you could reset my license to one so I can install this great program on a faster computer. Thanks again for all your help.
