here's what i get TMPGenc says "illegal mpeg video stream"

vdub says cannot determine file type of C:\xxxx\xxxx

avi codec says this about it

    File : 788 MB (788 MB), duration 0:00:00, type DSH, 1 audio stream(s), quality 66 %

    Video : 694 MB, 0 Kbps, 0.0 fps, res. 0*0 (), = Ligos MPEG Video, Supported

    Audio : 94 MB, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 chan., 0x50 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 1, Supported

  2. Maybe it's really another file format with a .mpg extension. Try changing it to .avi, .asf, or .wmv and see what happens. Then try looking at "properties" in your player while playing and see what that says.
