I've tried a multitude of media, from Matrix +4x to optiodisc +4X and neither has worked. it takes me a total of an hour and a half to write on one of them. Is there anyone out there who has a Plextor 708A and is using a cheap media that burns quickly.

using the most expensive burner but want the cheapest media ?
doesnt really add up
get some decent stuff -- its not that expensive.."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

That's like putting watered-down gas in your Porsche and expecting it to perform as it's supposed to. Just not gonna do it.... -
And he will be rewarded when he buys some Memorex (4x) or Fuji....not that 20 cent cheaper Matrix stuff...
