  1. Right my motherboard (see my computer details for all the letters and things) is giving me shit. At the moment I have 2 Maxtor hard drives on Serial ATA installed. I have just installed a third one.

Now the bios does not recognise it. But when I am booting up I get taken to the fast track controller to set up a RAID array. I select the new drive (which shows up in here) and initialise it.

However when I get to windows and go to format it, it is not their at all.

Below is a link to the details of my motherboard.

The P4C800-E Deluxe offers the most complete RAID solution. A Promise SATA controller offers RAID 0, 1 and 10 functions with Max. 2 UltraATA 133 ports and 2 SATA HD ports, enabling users to build a RAID array with any 2, 3 or 4 of the ports. With unique multi-RAID function, RAID 0 and RAID 1 array can co-exist.

Above is a quote which I think is important. Does this mean that I can only have 2 drives on SATA ?.

Basically my question is how can I get this bloody new drive to work ?.

Thanks for taking the time to read my rants.
