I have a wmv that i got from my home movie camera using a firewire cable and windows movie maker, is there a way i can burn it to dvd without uing tmpgenc because i dont wanna make it into an mpeg file

Sure just burn it as data...but you will only be able to watch it on your PC.

The whole point is that i can send the home movies to my relatives so i want it to work on a dvd player too

One way or another that file will have to become a dvd compliant mpg before it can be burned and expected to work on dvd players.
You might browse around in the convert section for options..Always check helpfiles/instructions before leaping...
