  1. Is there any RELIABLE 8x DVD-R media out yet?? all I see is 8x +R and I don't want to use +R.

Is there any DVD-R media that burns faster than 4x?? 6x maybe or 8x??

I read maybe some Memorex did burn faster than 4x, but I am not positive on that. I hope someone knows a DVD-R media that burns faster than 4x.

I know I found out that princo don't work AT ALL on this burner. I tried at 4x twice and nothing. My Pioneer DVR-106 burns Princo can burn working disc at 4x all day long. Does Princo work if burned slower??

ALSO, that PDF of the compatibility list of the drive to certain media types. It will not load for me when I click on it. Can someone post the link again or post the media list in this topic. I would really appreciate it.

    EDIT

Is there any other firmware for this burner that would maybe help it burn these 4x princo disc I have??

  5. Taiyo Yuden (10 pack of Fuji DVD-Rs) or MCC (Verbatim Data life plus) burn at 8x. Kind of pricey, but TY and MCC are two of the best known brands. If you're going to buy them retail, then make sure you only buy the 10 pack fujis or that the verbatims are datalife PLUS, other wise you might get crap. You can also order non fuji TYs online.
