  1. I have a question that no one has been about to answer for me. You guys are my last hope. I am planning on buying two external DVD Burners. But my question is can I plug both into my USB 2.0 ports and burn two Dvd's are one time. Example One movie onto Two DVDR. Not two different movies onto two different DVDR. Please Help

  2. Hmmm... Good question, not sure. I doubt it. I don't know of any burning programs that will allow multiple different burns at the same time. I know you can burn the same file/movie at the same time to multiple burners, just not sure about different movies to different burners at the same time.

  3. Your burning software has to allow this, I know Nero and possibly Padus - Disc Juggler use to for music I don't know if they do for DVD.

Isnt that what he said he wants to do

If you can find some software that supports this ( and I am sure one of the DVD burning programs does, I just can't remember which one, sorry ), be careful that your PC and USB interface can support it without data drop out.

Would I be correct in thinking if you burn the same movie to two different burners he burners have to be the same model/brand/speed?

I have Nero 5.5.10.x and it WILL burn to multiple DVD drives at once, and they do not need to be of the same brand/speed. I believe they do all need to be - or + not intermixed between the two, but I never use + media so I wouldn't know for sure. I don't know about using USB 2.0 for all this since all but one of my burners are in FireWire enclosures.

The option in Nero comes up in the burn menu. There should be a check box that says "burn to multiple drives" or something. Can't recall what it was offhand.

  10. Well I tried it finally and it worked using usb 2.0 two different burners 1 is a sony 500a and the other is Lite On 811. So far no problems. The next step will be trying 3 burners. I would use fireware but only the sony has that option. The enclosure case I brought for the Lite On only has USB 2.0. Plus I don't even have a firewire yet. Will have on my next upgrade. And that brings up another question can u burn one on a USB 2.0 and other on that Fireware?

I think this only the case for standalone duplicators. In my duplicators I had 6 40/12/40a plextors I bought a new 52/32/52 plextor to go in the 7th space but it stopped all of them working.

So I had to scour ebay and pay through the nose for an older model
