Got home from work in morning and ate and started watching a dvd. Stopped movie and went to bed. Got up that evening and fixed supper and went to watch dvd and nothing. No movie on TV, just black screen. Power light on dvd off, display off(it is SLIGHTLY lit), and couldn't get tray open. I verified that the power supply inside dvd is good(I think). The loader is a DSL-710A. The player is a X-wave(can't find the model number) that I got free from earthlink.net and DVD players are cheap now but so am I. Either the main board is dead or the dvd drive is dead, but how do I determine which is the problem. I read that this loader can be put in a computer and windows will recognize it, but is the reverse also true? Can I take my LG drd-8160B out of my computer and try it inside X-wave player. Any help would be appreciated

I defintely killed it while trying to troubleshoot the problem
I really liked this DVD player. It played 99% of all the DVDs I put in it. It played the XSVCDs (720/480) I made. I got the X-Wave DVD from Earthlink and wonder if anyone else got one from them and knows what model # it is or if it was Specially made for Earthlink promotion. Does anyone out there have any info. Thanks
No, it came with the frame.
