Looking for info on how to whack short DVD video onto CDR - playable on the DVD player as DVD.
I understand it is possible, but don't know where to start.
I already have the video, in either m2v, or mpg file types.

    Thanks

  2. Since your post has not been answered yet I will take a stab at it.
I have done this but only a minority of DVD players will accept
    it.

There are two distinct formats: File and miniDVD

    File

Some DVD players can play mpeg files on a standard iso burnt CDR
just like mp3 files. Sometimes you have to change the file extension
from mpg to VOB. Sometimes you have to change the audio from
DVD standard 48Hkz to 44.1Hkz. Other times you may have to
reduce the bitrate to 2500 KBps from the usual DVD standard of
    4000 or higher.

This is described on the left hand side links under "What is a DVD?"
There are a number of commercial apps that will create this
format for you - but again note that only a minority of DVD players
will run it. Max video time in this format is 15 minutes.
