I'm trying to make DVD covers using CoverXP with 8.5"x11" paper, but it cuts off just a tad bit off of the back of the cover for some odd reason. I also need to know the name used for 8.5"x11" paper (legal,a4,letter, that kind of name). I've also tried the photoshop method from a different thread and it just cuts off a little of the front cover. Anybody have any suggestions?

Sounds like you are using letter-sized or A4 paper to print a DVD cover. Letter is 8.5" x 11.0" To get the other dimensions, got to File-->Page Setup. Each paper option you select should list its dimensions.
I have to amend my post. A4 prints DVD covers just fine. Letter-size cannot, so your printer is doing only as much as it can, printing to the the end of the page, and leaving off what it cannot print.Hello. -
but there will still be room left on the paper to print the rest of the picture, but it just stops. It will even show the entire picture on the paper in the print preview (for photoshop atleast).

Approximately how much room will be left, and where is the room, at the top or the bottom. I only know my DVD labels print out best when use A4 paper.
Hello. -
its best to print the covers on 8.5 x 14 (legal size) paper, this ensures that it wont be cut off

Try,
Top tool bar setup - options - adjustments.
Set the x and y offsets to lower numbers this places the cover closer to the top and left of the page and allows more of the page to be printed on.
Helped me when trying to print a slightly larger cover for new DVD cases.
Hope it works !
