  1. Please help i am backing up a movie it is over 2hrs long. at the end i.e second to last chapter the quailty degrades and i get pixalation. the movie even stops i can back up smaller movies no probs i.e 25 chapters but not big ones.

    Sounds like a media problem. What brand media are you using? How did you backup your movie,i.e. what program and what steps did you use to do it.

    i agree very much like a media problem. i have the same drive as you
    and i have no problems burning 4.7gb of data right too the edge of dvd.
    buy ritekG04 disks you will be fine with those thats what i use...

  4. programs used dvd decryter-dvd2one-copy dvd, i am in the process of trying different dvd media. not orange bulkpaq which only backup small films. i am told it could be a vob problem any ideas?.

    You haven't said what media you have tried , just different types of media . What media have you tried so far?
    I have Pioneer 106 and have never had a problem.

  6. i have tried bulkpaq orange and datawrite classic orange discs. i am now trying datawrite yellow disks classics.

    just make sure the disks you buy have Ritek Dye G04 on them.

    there the same freaking discs..
    buy a decent brand rather than that crap.
    thats the only way to put it.
    get RITEK G04 dvd-rs,or another simlilar brand.
    if you use shit media,and get shit results,then you only have yourself to blame.

    Here's a suggestion for you.
    Download a little programme here called DVD Identifier It will tell you the makes of your discs , You will find they are all Princo
    Below is what it says about a Yellow Datawrite DVD-R



    At least then you will know what you are dealing with.
