I use DVD Shrink followed by CloneDvd which both work perfectly well. The disc plays but if I try to make another copy it just won't do it??? any ideas

If it is already a backup, just use windows explorer to copy the files to your HD and then burn.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. I think what jimmalenko is trying to say is just pop the DVD in your comp like any other disc, and copy the files that way. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. I'm not exactly a master at this kind of stuff, so I can't be sure.

  5. I've had the same problem many times. The DVD will play fine, but it won't read to make a copy of the copy. I also make my copies using CloneDVD, maybe it could have something to do with that software? I have not tried the new version of CloneDVD, but it might do a better job. I have tried the suggestion of doing a direct copy to my HD then burn, but it is the read that is a problem, and not the write. This might not be what you are having a problem with, but if it is I haven't found a fix as of yet.

Since this is a backup (and you have the original) Why not just copy the orginal again?

It's really quite simple - when you created the first backup, you removed CSS and macrovision from it. The files on your backup are unencrypted and all you have done when you burned them from your HD is put them into the VIDEO_TS folder. There is no need to decrypt again - just copy the files straight.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  10. RecordNow Max 4.5. Backup in DVD drive, blank disk in DVD burner and hit copy. Works all the time!!! Nothing like having too many backups!!!
