    I have made some dvd copies using XCOPY Xpress and a Memorex +R so I know the writer writes to all formats, but Nero tells me I have an invalid disk type with the +R. I want to copy to +R because my stand alone dvd player will not play -R.

    I had that same problem......Strangely I erased/formatted the CDRW in Power producer and it was then recognized.....Are you using burnatonce? If not try that program!

    I'll try doing that. Are there any other programs that will format a dvd?
