Today I received an email from baldrick@dvdrhelp.com with an attachment. The body of the email said "Is that you?". I have not opened it yet, but suspect it is a virus. Check out your computer Baldrick.

  5. That most likely is a variant of the MyDoom worm that's spreading around ... do not open it... this worm WILL delete files from your computer! If you have opened it, or are concerned that it may already be on your computer click here http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/

    Download Stinger to remove it.
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

I prefer to "shed some light" on it by asking Baldrick about it.
    The email is already deleted.

Maybe Baldrick is just trying to 'thin the herd'. Actually someone is probably faking his address.

  12. That's no detail at all.

If you want to show some detail, cut and paste the header of the email. I don't recognize your email client, so I can tell you how to do it.....Rest assured though, this email didn't come from baldrick. It came from a computer that is infected with a virus and uses random names out of the that persons address book, and other places to send emails to and addressed from

Heck spoofing email and news posts are really old...I'm surprised people still even believe the from field to begin with.

I recovered the email from the server and opened it (keeping my fingers crossed that my anti-virus would pick it up) and this is what it was.
