Firstly, apologies if this has been answered elesewhere.
A friend has recorded a home-video for me onto dvd+r with no chapter markers or editing.
Is it possible for me to copy this to my PC and then back to a DVD+RW which I could then edit on my Philips DVD-R70 recorder to add chapters etc.
If it is possible, what format/software would I need to transfer to DVD+RW in?
Or, would it simply be easier to use the PC to create chapters etc, and what software would you recommend?
Thanks

if you want just to copyy to RW then any software who does DVD to DVD copy it fine, like nero.
if you want to rip the dvd in your pc...then you can use either VirtualDub -MPEG2 version, or DVDx or any other soft that can use the vob files.
then is just fun...... -
I have no experience with the format required for editing on your Philips DVD-R70, so I would suggest using TMPGEnc DVD Author - it can use the .VOB files directly from the original DVD, and allows editing and chapter creation, plus it has a 30-day full feature trial period.
You can't fool me, I'm a moron!
