  1. Saw these Samsung 4X DVD-Rs on Newegg.com:

Just wondering if anyone knows if these can be printed to the hub like the BeAlls which I've heard is a division of Samsung. Are these really BeAll discs? The price isn't bad considering that free FedEx saver shipping is built in to the price - good for us folks in the eastern U.S.. Anyone have any experience with these discs? Looking to use them in an NEC 2500A, Optorite DD201, & a LiteOn 411S.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I ordered recently some samples of these discs from Rima.com. The discs are BeAll but the hub is branded Samsung and the diameter is 39mm not 20mm like the "regular" BeAlls.
    Hope this helps.

    Enjoy!

    Gregg,
How are these working for you? I'm getting ready to send the remaining 88 out of the 100 I ordered back to rima.com because they are freezing on several different players when they get to the outer portion of the disc. Reburns on Ritek G03 work perfectly. You are correct, they are not printable to the hub like the BeAlls are. BTW, these are BeAll00001 media code.

I plan on ordering Ritek G04s to replace these. Is anyone having trouble with rima.com's current batches of G04s?

  8. I just ordered Ritek G04 printables from newegg, 50 for $53.99 free shipping. They might have come down a little from that, I haven't checked this week. Of coarse Ritek has the 42mm inner ring, but they have been flawless so far. (Out of 10 burns)
