  1. Hi all
I ran out of patience with the supplier of my Optorite ddr203 and got another writer a Liteon LDW451s. Now the supplier of the optorite has found my returned optorite and sent me a DDR201 as a replacement.
My LG 8160DVD Rom only reads DVD -R/RW format. So I am thinking of installing the DDR201 as either a slave on my secondary IDE cable with the LDW451s as master , or I could set it up as a master on my PCI IDE expansion card secondary IDE channel. Taking the LG DVD Rom out completely.
Do any of you have experience of putting more than one DVD writer into a PC and what mistakes should I look out for.

burner are like any other drive, jumper proper for master/slave/cls.
there should be no hardware issue. if you only have bundled s/w it may not reconize both drives, but it may

I have a somewhat similar setup, though with a DVD ROM, CD burner, DVD burner. I put the DVD ROM on a the PCI card, secondary master with the DVD burner on the MB as secondary master and the CD burner as MB secondary slave. Also have a Zip as MB primary slave and a backup HD as primary slave on the PCI. With most newer MB's it usually doesn't make much difference, seems more dependent of the drive itself if it can work as a slave.
