I was all set on getting the XFX nVidia GeForce FX 5200 256MB DDR Video Card. But someone told me that ATI would be a better choice to go considering I want to do video editing and DVD burning.
I need to keep the price around $100
The first sticky post in this thread says they are both equal and fine for editing.
But I want to make sure before I make the investment. Let me know what you guys think of that XFX card. And if I should get an ATI, which model should I get?
Thanks all!

at one time - not to long ago , ati had a slightly better image for video..
now -- both are about the same , specially in that price range ..
in fact - that card would be overkill for video editing , you don't need huge amounts of graphics memory .. though some video apps require good opengl performance ..
i still prefer matrox for visual quality and stability .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
