    I am a writer...and I enjoy making movies. Most of the stuff that I have done has been without the need of any kind of special effects. BUT NOW, I with so many advances in PC software, I would like to get into that too. Can someone point me in the right direction. What software would I use to create different video effects, such as the lightsaber effect (Good quality) or things similar to this.
    I was so poor growing up ... if I wasn't a boy ...I'd have nothing to play with.
