I'm trying to do a PAL -> NTSC conversion. The original file is more or less VCD standard (VCD video with DVD sound). The orginal PAL file is 01:43x (hh:mm
s). When I do the conversion (using TMPGEnc v2.521.58.169) the NTSC file is 00:54:49. That's a 60+ minute difference.
I've tried various combinations of settings in TMPGEnc (3:2 pulldown, inverse 3:2 pulldown, inverse telecine, etc) and it doesn't seem to make a difference. The last PAL -> NTSC conversion I did, did NOT require any of these settings and it came out fine. So I'm really puzzled. I've read the guides on this board but I get the same result.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??
