  1. don't know if this is possible but i hope that you guys are up for a challenge.

i have a movie which is split over 2 dvd9 discs, has 7 audio streams and 11 subtitles
and both discs have there own menu and some extras (only about 140 MB).

now what i wanna do is put everything on one dvd5 disc, seamless of course. and also
keep the menu from disc 1, 1 audio stream and 1 subtitle stream.. but remove the extras.
i would also wanna remove the end credits since they are about 20min or something

i know the bitrate is gonna be low and the quality will s*ck so preferably i want to use CCE or
    equal to re-encode.

it must be possible to do all this right?

so.. any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated

    no.
you can probably reauthor the dvd's onto one dvdr, but there is no way you're going to keep all the menus.

you could reauthor the dvd's onto one dvdr and create your own menus though.

Sounds like LOTR. You would need to be a guru with something like IFOEdit to pull off what you wish to achieve. Master backing up 1 DVD9 using DVDShrink before you attempt a project like this.

With a lot of hard work you could preserve all play items having stripped all unnecessary streams but you would have to make your own menus. The menus are the main problem here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. yeah you're right, the menu is my big problem, the other things are rather easy do to.. but i don't need the entire menu to work, i just want to be able to start the movie and setup audio/subtitle, i was gonna remove the rest off it, i was hoping someone knew a way to append the movie part of disc 2 to the movie part of disc 1 and keep the menu that way

otherwise i was thinking that i would strip the extras and audio/subtitle streams with ifoedit and then reencode the two disc's separately using cce and then put them together seamlessly with dvd2one.. to bad i have to create my own menu, the original is cool

i have a totally different questions about menus however.. is there any easy way to "deactivate" dead links (like extras which is removed) and change default audio stream and such? it's boring to use ifoedit

zomba, you could try MenuEdit (probably available in the "Tools" section).
