Hi,
I'm archiving old 8mm Viewcam footage with a DC10+ card and Studio 7 (7.15).
What is the best data rate setting under the Custom option in Studio? Previously, I've just used the Best preset option but want to get an idea if I can achieve better captures by upping the data rate.
720 x 540 is the res I've been using under Best but the preset rate was 3000. If increasing the rate will improve quality, what should I set it to? Is it as simple as the higher the rate, the better the capture?![]()
(After capping and editing in Studio, I then render under the DVD preset before using DVD MovieFactory to author and burn with Nero 5.5.)
Also, when burning should I ensure that the date rate in MF is also the same as the capture data rate? I'm sure I've read that this should be the case.
Many thanks.
