I mislabeled a disc and rather than reburning, thought I'd give this a try and it worked admirably:
Soak a paper towel in "Goo Gone" that orange-based adhesive remover, and place it on the labelside of the DVD, making sure that it is in complete contact with the disc.
The next morning, the label slides right off of the disc in one clean piece, and almost 0% of the adhesive remains on the disc, just wipe with a paper towel.
