  1. I have seen a lot of help for those who want to extract an
MPEG stream from a trp file, but I can't find anything on
creating a trp file from an existing MPEG file. I think most
people capture the trp stream, but I need to create one.
I have found the ISO spec 13818, but I really don't want
to have to write my own transcoder.
    Thanks for any pointers,
    Carolyn

Hi Carolyn, the closest thing i came across to what you need is a hdtv capture card, not sure if you want to go this route but i havent seen any programs to convert mpg2 to trp file format, maybe someone in this forum has seen one.

  3. I know it's a rather unusual situation, since most people do get files by capturing them; however, I have a card that requires trp input, and I have HDTV MPEG frames. I want to convert them so I can feed them into this card, which is a Teleview TSP102. I also have Adobe Premier, and was hoping for a plugin software codec for it. But I'm not opposed to getting a different package. Does anyone have any experience with the TSP102?
    Thanks again,
    Carolyn
