    The dvd's I create, play back at normal speed, but when
    I play it on the home unit, it plays back at an accelerated speed
    like it is in fast forward.

    On the pc, it plays back correctly.
    Used Vegas to edit, tmpgenc to encode, dvd-lab to create dvd and burn.

    Help.

    are you by any chance making a slide show? I had the same problem but only with a slideshow. Somewhere the instructions for pausing the chapters was lost. Let me know if thats the case.

    No slideshow.
    I took my home videos on mini-dv and trying to make them
    into dvd's.
