Its been awhile since I looked so i figured that i would just ask a quick question... is virtual dub (mod or regular) the best for converting divx to divx/xvid for a ppc, are there any better choices or maybe even codecs that should be used/considered?

    thanks

It's hard to imagine there ever being a better avi editor. Gotta love Avery Lee. I've been using Vdub for a few years now and I think it's still the best for what it does. I've used Dr. Divx which is a nice little encoder but not nearly as feature rich as Vdub. You can't even enlarge a movie's resolution for God's sake. Out of all the mods out there I primarily use Virtualdub MPEG2, though I sometimes use Virtualdubmod when working with OGM.

As stated above Virtual Dub is tops. I use Virtual Dub Mpeg2.
