  1. Hi all. My first post here.

I'm looking to get in to DVD ripping/burning/authoring/whatever since my wife bought me a new Digitial Video Camera for Christmas. There is a ton of good material here, but I think I need to buy a book first to get the complete overview. This will become a hobby for me.

Do any of you experienced folks have a reco on a good "Getting started book" of some sort? The "Dummies" series is generally good and I briefly flipped through that a couple weeks ago, but haven't yet bought it.

I have a Canon Optura 20 Camera, Am going to buy a Plextor DVD+/-RW and have Sonic and PInnacle software.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Well, my favorite book on videography went out of print some years ago, so its title will not mean much to but check out the Little Digital Video Book. It is my second favorite, although I am sure there are other books as well. I did read one of the Dummy books, and it was worth the price, too.
    Hello.

Jim Taylor's DVD Demystified is the most valuable reference book in my library, hands down.
