Ok, sometimes I get that blue screen that says there has been some error detected in windows and is shutting down. It would then dump the physical memory. I kinda noticed that whenever it crashes I have TMPGEnc running so I'm thinking it's linked to it. The error is usually something like INQL_Equal_Or_Less. Please note that, that's not the exact error given to me but it's something to that nature.

The error screen also says I might want to consider disabling memory caching or shadow caching? Not sure what this is supposed to mean. Could this be because there is an error in the RAM I'm using. Just a little about my comp...

    1024mb DDR 400 Mhz RAM

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the software or hardwaree so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Video encoding is CPU and memory intensive. A marginal stick of memory can cause these kinds of errors, especially if they are random. Try substituting a known good stick, or if you have 2 modules, pull one out. Overheating CPU, weak power supply, background programs running, bad hard drive, internet access, are a few other possible causes. Eliminate as many varibles as you can. Try one thing at a time and hopefully you can pin it down.

Hmm I see, I forgot to list that I have 1024mb of DDR 400 mhz ram. It's on 2 sticks and one was put into slot A-0 and the other into B-0. I'll probably replace the sticks with another one of the same type and see if I run into any problems.
