I'm excited about backing up all the files on my computer to DVD instead of CD... But I'm a bit concerned about the reliability with this newer media. I had a recent problem that hopefully someone can shed some light on a solution.
I tried to burn 2 different .avi movie files in DVD-Rom mode with Nero. These files are both exports from Premiere as DV Video... One file is 100MB & the other is 4.3 GB.
After burning the 100MB .avi movie opens/copies/plays fine. The 4.3GB file displays on the DVD as only 190MB big and will not open, copy, or play. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Is there a specific mode or settings that I should use?
Thanks

I use Nero for this all the time with no problems. That is the correct format for data discs. Might have been bad media.
